Our commitment to Considerate Construction

Hale believes that building projects should support the local community, not disrupt it. That is why, in addition to our own guidelines for good practice, we belong to the Considerate Constructors Scheme - a national initiative, set up by the construction industry, to improve its image.

Sites and companies that register with the scheme sign up and are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

The main areas of concern fall into three main categories: the environment, the workforce and the general public.

In reality, that means that we work hard to ensure that our projects deliver real benefit to the communities in whcih we build. It means that we plan carefully to minimise disruption during the construction process. Most importantly, it means that whatever we are building, be it a new apartment complex, a care home, or a community resource, we take every step available to ensure that the build delivers real, sustainable value for local people.

It may be something simple, like incorporating underground parking to relieve traffic congestion, or it may involve months or consultation and planning to protect and preserve local wildlife

All Hale Construction sites are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, consistently achieving a high level beyond compliance.
