Banwen Place, Brynamman

Description
The properties consist of 12 two bed semi-detached bungalows built in the village of Brynamman providing local affordable housing.

This was a joint development alongside King Edward Road, Tairgwaith, Gwaun Cae Gurwen for Grŵp Gwalia. With Hale Construction working on both sites simultaneously using local suppliers and sub-contractors this enabled Gwalia to achieve cost savings and a reduced carbon footprint.

The bungalows are of timber frame construction produced by Hale Construction’s sister company Seven Oaks Joinery. Level access throughout ensures ease of flow throughout the properties. The properties benefit from a large kitchen and gas central heating.

Points of Interest
The development is close to the Ynys Dawela Nature Park and the Black Mountain Pass. There is also a local shop, petrol station and a bus stop nearby.

The Welsh Government provided a £1.160M Social Housing Grant to Gwalia for the two developments.
