Hale Construction Gives West Wales Students a taster of the building profession at their Howells Close development

Students from Monkton Priory CP School were given the chance to visit Hale Construction’s Howell Close development in Monkton for an educational talk about the construction industry. Twelve students aged between 10 to 11 years old, from Monkton Priory CP School in Pembrokeshire spent St David’s Day at Howells Close, which is a development of 30 Pembrokeshire Housing Association houses and flats. They received an in-depth talk about what goes on at construction sites, including the different types of houses built, environmental issues, safety around a construction site and career opportunities available. Neath based Hale Holdings Ltd has made a major investment in a £280k fleet of new vehicles to service its ever increasing client base throughout Wales & South West England. Since 2013 Group turnover has increased from £7M to a projected £30M for 2016. This has been achieved by Hale expanding its client database & geographical working area. Hale Construction begin work to support ex-servicemen and women

Clydach DemolitionHale Construction, working with their client Grŵp Gwalia commenced work in January 2016 to preserve the heritage of a Swansea Valley war memorial and transform a former hospital & its grounds into 14 new homes. The site encompasses the historical and emotional connection residents have with Clydach War Memorial Hospital, which was built for the community by the community, through contributions from residents to support veterans returning from the WWI. The site is that of the former Clydach Memorial Hospital and is surrounded by residential developments, located on a parcel of land bounded by Waverley Street in the East, Martin Street in the West and Quarr Road on the North. LABC 3Neath-based JG Hale Construction Ltd has swept the board in a number of industry awards. Last week Hale scooped five titles at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2015, including the award for Best Social Affordable Housing; Best LABC Partnership and Best LABC Site Supervisor (Residential.) The Best Social Affordable Housing title was awarded for Hale’s Groves Road development in Cimla, Neath with Hale’s Crymlyn Road development in Skewen also placed runner-up in the same category. 15.12.15 - NPTC Group Student Awards - Joe joined J G Hale Construction in August 2013 straight from school and has been completing his apprenticeship in plumbing over the last two years where he has gone from strength to strength. His determination paid off when he was awarded CITB Trade Apprentice of the Year award at the annual NPTC College Group of Students Colleges’ Student Awards 2015.   The award was handed over by the events host, Mr Go Compare himself, Carmarthenshire tenor Wynne Evans at Swansea University’s Great Hall. The family-run company, which has been shortlisted in the national LABC industry awards; is forecasting a £26m turnover this year and has recently appointed a Development Officer, an Assistant Buyer and a Group Health and Safety Manager. 21st century building winners

21st-century-building-winnersHale as a company are continually looking at ways to build partnerships within our local community. Having recently run a competition in conjunction with the art and design department at Neath Port Talbot College, we were overwhelmed with the number of entries from students. The competition brief was to draw a 21st century building and the winners artwork would be displayed in our newly refurbished boardroom. Hale Homes to Support Ambitious Fundraising Event

Tour 94NEATH-based Hale Homes is supporting a local charity tour that is aiming to raise £20,000 for Cancer Research UK and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. Tour 94 will see six friends from Skewen, near Neath, travel to the 92 English football league grounds as well as Wembley and the Millennium Stadium within the space of a week. The event will begin at Swansea City’s Liberty Stadium at 8.30am on July 25. The near 3000 mile journey will see the friends raise funds for their chosen charities as well as raise awareness for cancer and leukaemia by meeting survivors of the disease and carers who have helped family members.
