Given the unprecedented times we have navigated in recent months, we wanted to take this opportunity to update all of JG Hale Construction’s colleagues, clients, consultants and those in our supply chain on what we are, and have, been doing as a business in response to the challenges presented by COVID-19. We remained open and operating throughout the crisis, though scaled back some sites and functions in line with government advice and guidelines. Hale construction scoops five prestigious awards

The Building Control Awards, which took place at The Towers Hotel and Spa on Friday March 6, aim to reward good building practice and recognise the very best of Neath Port Talbot’s construction industry. The event was presented by TV’s Ross Harries and sponsored by local business SO Modular. JG Hale Construction welcomes school pupils to its Radyr building site

Neath-based construction firm JG Hale Construction recently welcomed a group of Year 11 pupils from Radyr Comprehensive onto its site at De Clare Drive, Radyr to teach them about careers in construction. Properties are being built for Taff Housing Association on the site who arranged the visit in conjunction with Careers Wales in order to bust some of the myths about careers in construction, improve the image of construction and inspire some of the pupils to explore construction as a career possibility. Ceremony kicks off first affordable housing development in Powys for over 40 years

Hale construction secures £5.1 m contract to build new council homes in Powys

The innovative scheme, comprising a mix of flats and houses, is Hale’s first ever contract for Powys council and is part of a drive to provide more council housing in the area. JG Hale Construction, the Neath-based construction company and part of the JG Hale Group, has won a prestigious national award for its exceptional work on a social housing development in Cardiff. The company was presented with the ‘Social Housing Development of the Year’ award at the LABC 2019 Brick Awards for its work on the £7.7 million Pentland Close development of 82 units of affordable housing in Chiltern Close, Llanishen. Abercrave RFC celebrates 125-year anniversary

It will mark it with a number of special events and presentations throughout the season with the support of its main sponsor Hale Construction. The club, which was founded in 1884, has produced an impressive list of Welsh internationals during its long history including prop Adam Jones, who won 95 caps for his country, and Clive Rowlands, Wales’ youngest ever captain who went on to coach Wales and the British and Irish Lions.   The list of top 100 companies for the South West region has just been released, with JG Hale Construction securing an impressive 34th spot, and being highly commended in the Neath Port Talbot Company of the Year category. The list, which is drawn up by Media Wales, includes companies with the biggest turnover in areas that start with an SA postcode – this includes the Swansea Bay Region and slightly further afield. Neath based timber company set to grow by 5 million

Seven Oaks Timberframe, the award-winning Neath based timber frame manufacturer, looks set to reach its £6million growth target as it doubles its factory space and invests in new staff and equipment. The company has recently purchased one and a half acres of land adjacent to its existing one acre site. The new space will be incorporated into the current site to create a high end, purpose built environment to store and prepare timber frames. At present the company produces enough panels to make 12 homes a week, but it is planned that by the end of 2018, that number will double. Read More »
