Abercrave RFC celebrates 125-year anniversary

It will mark it with a number of special events and presentations throughout the season with the support of its main sponsor Hale Construction. The club, which was founded in 1884, has produced an impressive list of Welsh internationals during its long history including prop Adam Jones, who won 95 caps for his country, and Clive Rowlands, Wales’ youngest ever captain who went on to coach Wales and the British and Irish Lions. Neath based timber company set to grow by 5 million

Seven Oaks Timberframe, the award-winning Neath based timber frame manufacturer, looks set to reach its £6million growth target as it doubles its factory space and invests in new staff and equipment. The company has recently purchased one and a half acres of land adjacent to its existing one acre site. The new space will be incorporated into the current site to create a high end, purpose built environment to store and prepare timber frames. At present the company produces enough panels to make 12 homes a week, but it is planned that by the end of 2018, that number will double. Read More »

Hale builds new social housing in Welsh World Heritage site

Hale Construction is proud to have recently completed a substantial social development site in the historic town of Blaenavon, South East Wales. After two years of work, a new development of 54 homes are ready to be moved into. The properties which include a range of two, three and four bed houses as well as one and two bedroom flats, were built for client, Melin Housing Association. With a rich industry history of ironwork, steel-making and coal mining, Blaenavon was named a World Heritage site in 2000. Read More »

Hale unveils social housing in spectacular Gower

Hale Construction is delighted to unveil their new development in Monksland Road, Scurlage to their client Family Housing Association. Hale Construction attends building awards!

Awards0093 Hale Construction has come away from the recent Neath Port Talbot building awards with two fantastic wins: Best Site Manager, which went to a female, and Best New Housing Development. The annual awards celebrate the best in the region’s construction industry with entrants coming from businesses that carry out domestic alterations such as house extensions, to those that undertake large commercial developments. Winners are chosen by Building Control Surveyors.   LABC Best Site Manager was awarded to 23-year-old Charlotte Hale, a fantastic achievement, especially in light of the fact that just 1% of on-site workers are female. Hale employees dig out their festive knits

20161214_154121 After a successful ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ last year to raise money for the Kids Cancer Charity, staff at J G Hale Construction decided to support the charity for a further year and staged another ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ to raise more money. The team raised a magnificent amount for the charity by wearing their best festive knits for the day in return for donations. Hale’s successful completion of Builth Wells development

  Hale Construction was awarded the contract to redevelop Builth Wells Cottage Hospital. Working in partnership with Wales and West Housing Association and Builth Wells Heritage Society, Hale Construction paid homage to the former Cottage Hospital by reflecting the Victorian architecture in the new 17 home development. Four two bedroom flats, three bungalows, and ten houses have been built with residents moving in to their new homes earlier in the summer. The site manager Shayne Price said, “It was a very tight site with very little site parking and room for storage of materials, after meeting with the head of Builth Primary School it was agreed that we could use some of the school car park for parking, which was a great help to Hale.” In return for the use of the parking area, Hale presented Builth Primary School with a number of electronic devices to help with the growth and education at the school.
